Tale of the Sale: Coming Home
Sometimes real estate is just about getting someone back where they belong.
This buyer grew up in Salida. Life had taken him to Sachet for a while, and he'd done well — bought a home, built some equity, and was ready to make his way back to the area he'd always called home. He saw one of my ads on Zillow, commented that he was interested in seeing the property, and that's where our story started.
We met up, I showed him the home — and it wasn't the right fit. But he was serious, his home in Sachet was already under contract, and he needed to find something. So we kept going.
That's how we landed on 371 Holiday Hills in Howard. It was the right home — good land, room for his family, room for his animals, and close enough to Salida that he could stay connected to the community, the work, and the people he'd missed. There was just one hurdle: the numbers were a little out of reach.
This is where having the right team matters. We worked alongside a trusted local lender who took the time to understand his full financial picture and help him get his affairs in order. It wasn't a quick fix — it took diligence and patience — but we got there. He was able to purchase the home his family had been dreaming about.
He's back in his hometown now. Close to work, close to family, close to friends. His family is settled, his animals have space, and by all accounts they are exactly where they're supposed to be.
He found me through social media, we built a relationship, and now he's home. That's the kind of work that reminds me why I do this.
