Tale of the Sale - A Neighborly Success Story on Silver Spruce Drive

Sometimes, the best real-estate stories start close to home.

When longtime neighbor Andy Lauer reached out about selling his home at 19 Silver Spruce Drive, I was honored to help. Even while he was away, Andy trusted me to walk through his house, offer improvement ideas, and recommend updates to maximize its value.

This was a true referral story — Andy was introduced to me by neighbors Bob and Cheryl Moore, and soon our tight-knit community was buzzing about his upcoming move.

Among those neighbors was Marilyn Bolden, who lived just a few doors down at 1 Silver Spruce. When she heard Andy was selling, she called right away to see the home. She fell in love immediately — and before the house even hit the market, she made an offer to buy it contingent on the sale of her own home.

Andy went above and beyond to prepare the home for Marilyn. He repainted, added new windows, cleaned carpets, repaired the roof and stucco, and installed a new garage door — all coordinated remotely through my trusted local vendors.

Once Marilyn’s home at 1 Silver Spruce was under contract, everything moved smoothly to closing. What began as a transaction became a celebration of community — with farewell parties for Andy and Terry and heartfelt support from every neighbor.

In the end, Andy left Salida knowing his home was in good hands — and Marilyn found a new chapter right down the street.
