Brioche & Brezel: Salida's New German and French-Style Bakery

There's a new bakery in town, and if you're up early, you're in luck. Brioche & Brezel opened its doors this fall at 1548 G Street, Unit 4, baking German and French-style breads and pastries alongside a deli counter.

European baking, made right here
The name says a lot. Brioche is the rich, golden French bread, and Brezel is the German word for pretzel. Think fresh pretzels, brioche and crusty loaves, with deli items to round things out.

The soft opening was October 13, and the ovens get going early. The doors open at 4 a.m., so whether you're heading out for a sunrise hike, an early shift or a drive over the pass, you can grab something fresh on your way.

Why it's worth the stop
Salida has a way of making new businesses feel like they've always been here, and that starts with neighbors showing up. A good bakery becomes part of a morning routine, and it's exciting to see one open on G Street.
